Hi hi! The time of year has arrived again for another exciting food-tasting cum blogger get-together party BGR Restaurant at Bangi Golf Resort. My family and I together with the bloggers' community were inviting to Bangi Golf Resort Annual Buffet Ramadhan Media Preview.

Grand Ramadan Review with my bloggers' family at our 'Annual Biggest Bloggers Get-Together Ramadan Tasting at BGR Restaurant' at Bangi Golf Resort. They hosted a total of 500 guests consisting of media and bloggers with their family and friends to a delicious spread of Ramadan dishes.

This year event was made even more exciting with an introduction of their latest addition to the BGR family - their very own farm, Bangi Farm Resort, complete with over 40 species of organic durian trees grown right on premise!

Everyone was treated to a durian party at the farm and it was an honour getting to meet Mr Wui Woon, the Durian Master from Raub giving us an insight on how to choose the perfect durian, to distinguish the famous Musang King with D24 Durian and many more tips about this King Of The Fruits.

Upon arrival at the golf resort, we were taken to an exclusive visit to Bangi Golf Resort's 'Farm in the City' showcasing the organic produce grown in-house, which will be harvested, cooked and served during Buffet Ramadhan in future, providing our guests with a “farm to fork” experience.

Apart from that, the media was also brief on how they recycle food wastes to convert them into fertilizers for the plants in the farm. As a special treat for this year’s Media Preview, everyone got to enjoy freshly opened durians among their durian trees at Bangi Golf Resort.

Once back at the golf resort, the feast begins at Bangi Golf Resort (BGR) for Ramadhan Buffet 2018. Folks at Bangi Selangor can look forward to the delightful dishes that are panned out by the group of chefs helmed by Chef Kamaruddin Ahmad at Bangi Golf Resort.
Known for serving up a gastronomic buffet that offers both variety and quality, the Ramadhan Buffet at BGR Restaurant is one of the most value for money buffet that is set to charm diners with more than 200 dishes ranging from traditional Malay, Western and Oriental cuisines from 19 May 2018 to 13 June 2018.

BGR Restaurant is HALAL certified by JAKIM and is one of the very few golf resorts in Malaysia to receive this accreditation since 2009. It also has the honour of being the most Halal Compliant Restaurant in Selangor and received the coveted award from Mentri Besar of Selangor in 2017.
Do Good Contribution! During the spiritual month of Ramadhan this year, BGR Restaurant will be contributing 1% of its Buffet Ramadhan Revenue to Islamic Relief Malaysia (IRM) in order to help empower the community and providing humanitarian aids to the disadvantage.
'Love Food Hate Waste' Campaign ~ Fulfilling the promise of ensuring all items to be promptly refilled and made available on the buffet until the last diner has eaten his / her fill while working on the concept of zero waste; BGR Restaurant will be partnering Food Aid Foundation to donate and rescue any surplus food from its Buffet Ramadhan to feed the hungry and needy.
Diners can look forward to the popular Cooking Showcase, where the highlight is their Kambing Bakar (lamb slow-roasted on the spit) and Sup Kambing Mamak (Indian style Mutton Stew) where the lamb is slowly roasted to ensure the tenderness and juiciness of the meat.
At this station, chefs will serve up portions of freshly carved roast lamb and piping hot bowls of mutton stew, which never fail to warm the stomach. The next must try is the piping hot Sup Kambing Mamak which was boil for long hours to ensure the maximum flavours are infused in the soup.
Featuring produce grown in their very own “Farm in the City” located within the premises of Bangi Golf Resort, our chefs will be harvesting organic vegetables and serving them during Buffet Ramadhan, providing guests with a unique “farm to fork” dining experience.

Modern Western Dishes
Savour BGR Restaurant’s signature dishes at the Western Section, which feature dishes with a gastronomic touch such as Sous Vide Eggs with Mushroom Espuma. For a more hearty and classic option, the Chicken Lasagna and Spaghetti Carbonara are always a family favourite.
Also look out for our all-time favourite, Black Pepper Beef as well as their popular new creation - Deep Fried Fish Fillet with Golden Butter Sauce.
Diners can also enjoy freshly grilled Beef & Chicken Satay as well as Fried Kway Teow and Fried Mee Mamak, wok-fried ‘live’ before them.
Not forgetting the continuous flow of freshly grilled chicken and beef satay.
Another favourite of the crowd from the Oriental cuisine is the Hainanese Chicken Rice. Adopting the latest technology in its menu creation for Oriental Cuisine, BGR Restaurant perfected the technique of preparing Hainanese Chicken Rice.
The chicken is prepared to ensure the right point of doneness, giving a succulent texture to the breast meat that is used for this dish. The fluffy grains of rice are enriched with rendered chicken fat, leaving them glistening and flavourful. Completing the subline experience is the accompanying fresh garlic & ginger chilli sauce which is bound to lure diners back for second helpings.
Not to forget our Freshly Churned Gelato - in the unique flavours of Durian and Bunga Kantan, will once again be making its comeback.
