27th Amazing Years Of Marriage With Uncle Hong 

My hubby and I were here recently to celebrate our 27th amazing years of marriage surrounded by the whole bunch of good old bloggers' friends of ours. I was happiest this year celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary cum my 54th birthday at a special party organized by CINCIN. It was truly a memorable night well-spent with good vibes, good wine and good food at Cincin!

Located in the suburbs of Cheras town, CINCIN Restaurant Wine Bar & Grill is the first elegant restaurant in the vicinity serving a good selection of premium wines at affordable prices paired with fine western cuisines.

The 2-storey restaurant with a classical decor is nestled amid the bustling Cheras township. The ground floor is casual dining with beers with simple meals and small bites. A little walk further to upstairs is a hidden charm as the tastefully furnished CINCIN comes into view.

 
Carrying the concept of wine dining, one must absorb dress code of smart casual with no t-shirts, shorts nor slippers. CINCIN is an ideal place for a private party, gathering of friends and family-get-togethers of birthdays, baby shower or anniversary.    

 
We were treated to a full-course dinner with salad, soup, main course and ending with dessert. Our first 3-course dinner of salad, mushroom and salmon were paired with Padre Pedro Reserva Branco Varietal: Viognier and Arinto (2015).

Light and refreshing mesclun greens served topped with smoked salmon and crispy croutons.



Clear Soup with Truffle Oil

Our second course was the Clear Soup with Truffle Oil, another light on the stomach but heavy on taste simple clear broth infused with truffle oil served with fresh Shittake mushrooms.

Next up was the third course, Grilled Portobello Mushroom with Bacon and Cheese. Top marks go to the fragrant and flavoursome dish of mushrooms. You'll bound to enjoy the thick and juicy pan-fried Portobello mushroom which goes really well with the generous toppings of savoury crispy bacon bits and cheese sprinkles.

Those looking for a healthier option can choose to have Poached Salmon in White Wine Broth  for the mains while meat lovers should try their grilled lamb rack. I have Poached Salmon in White Wine Broth for my main course while my hubby chooses his favourite lamb dish of  Grilled Lamb Rack in Red Wine Rosemary Sauce.

Varietal: Syrah. Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (2015)

Catering to ravenous carnivores, the Grilled Lamb Rack in Red Wine Rosemary Sauce makes an excellent choice for it's well-marinated with a distinctive taste of red wine. The lamb rack was flamed licked to perfection with tender and juicy meat on the inside and nicely cooked on the outside. 

 Hojicha Creme Brulee


For desserts, we dig into two signatures offering for the night.  Hojicha Creme Brulee was a godsend for dessert lovers. Matcha lovers will enjoy the light and sweet green tea inspired dessert, perfect for a light ending.



 Ballerina

The time comes for the restaurant's most celebrated sweet and sourish treat: Ballerina. Mostly memorable because of its presentation of a meringue shaped like a shell with little treasures within and prettily decorated or plated with fresh fruits and edible flowers to enhance the presentation. Ideal dessert to end your satisfying meal at CINCIN.
