Ăn Viet ~ The Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant At Sunway Pyramid

Capturing The Essence Of
Vietnamese Cuisine
In Ăn Viet
Ăn Viet ~ The Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant At Sunway Pyramid

Ăn Viet, an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Sunway Pyramid has managed to capture the essence of Vietnamese cuisine, which is known for its distinct fresh flavours and taste - from sweet, salty, sour and spicy flavours created using fresh herbs, meats and selective use of spices to reach a fine taste.

I truly enjoyed eating Vietnamese food as it's considered one of the healthiest cuisines in the world. The deliciously fresh and fiery flavours of traditional Vietnamese food is hard to resist. A simple cuisine that relies heavily on fresh ingredients, with minimal use of oil or dairy, and a whole host of herbs and spices - from aromatic Vietnamese mint, Thai basil leaves, coriander, lemongrass to birds eye chilli, ginger, lime among others.

Having said that, if you enjoy this type of cuisine, you will probably enjoy all of the fresh taste, different and interesting combination of flavours Ăn Viet has to offer. I was here recently with my family of foodies to dine and experience delicious authentic dishes in Ăn Viet at one of their outlets in Sunway Pyramid.

Before I move on to introduce their cuisine, let's me enlighten you on the meaning of the name ~ Ăn Viet. It literally means 'EAT VIET' and the brainchild behind this restaurant, is Madam Caren Poon who went on a gastronomical food trip or more like a food trails savouring amazing cuisine from the South to the Central and up to the Northern Vietnam to search and discover the delicious mixture of flavours of age-old flavours and taste.

So you see, Caren did her research thoroughly through 'eating Vietnam' for months to bring back to Malaysia the interesting and authentic taste of Vietnam.

Ăn Viet has loads to offer from their specially selected menu featuring signatures favourites best suited to Malaysian palates such as Phở (Rice Noodles) – touted to be Vietnam’s national dish, Gỏi Cuốn (Fresh Spring Rolls), Chả Giò (Fried Spring Rolls) and Cà Phê (Vietnamese Drip Coffee).

Apart from that, diners will also get to enjoy lesser known but equally Viet-licious and unique items such as Bánh Tráng Nướng (Grilled Rice Paper Pancake), Xôi Chiên Phồng (Fried Glutinous Rice Puff), Canh Chua Ngao Nước Dừa (Clam Soup Cooked with Coconut Water) and Bún Chả (Grilled pork belly and patties served with pickles, mint, basil, lettuce and Vietnamese vermicelli, in a dip made from 100% fish sauce).

Its conception was rooted in their founders’ Vision and fervent desire to create awareness about how much food is wasted globally and how they as consumers can do their part to reduce food waste. To ensure that the guests enjoy Viet-licious, quality meals, Ăn Viet strives to remain true to their Food-losophy:

Free To Pluck & Eat These Organic Basil  To Add-On To Your Dish

This is probably the only Vietnamese restaurant that allowed it's diners to have fresher than fresh BASIL LEAVES - pluck straight from the pot to your dish while you enjoy your meal! You seriously can't get any fresher than this!

Premium Fish Sauce Produced In Phu Quoc, the Famous Region For Fish Sauce In Vietnam

  • Quality Ingredients: We insist on sourcing for and using only the best and freshest ingredients, the very basis of good food.
  • Made-from-Scratch: Our stocks, sauces, marinades, drinks etc are made-from-scratch in-house, a tastier, healthier, preservative-free option.
  • Cooked-to-Order: All our mains are cooked to order. Freshly cooked food always tastes better.
Choose A Portion You Can Finish & Be A ZERO Waste HERO!

Diners can choose to decide on the weight of grams for rice (120g, 160g, 200g) and noodles (80g, 120g, 160g, 200g) and with no difference in pricing. This good practice encourages diners not to waste food and order in the portion they can finish. On top of that, if you order a smaller portion but need more after finishing it, feel free to add-on or top-up to the maximum portion with no extra cost too, going towards the Alam Flora tagline of 'LOVE FOOD HATE WASTE'.
